When I was small he fixed a small saddle to the crossbar of his bicycle and would take me for rides. He had a large yellow poncho type cape to wear when it rained which did up with poppers and if I was on the bike he would leave a couple open so I could poke my head through - a bit like Kanga and Roo! When my grandmother died I was very upset but when he died eleven months after I was devastated. It did not matter that he was 92, he was so patient and so wise and one of the cornerstones of my world even into adulthood. 22 years on I still miss him very much! xxjolambertwriter.bloghttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13606129541224876090noreply@blogger.com
